Bustling Baltimore

Baltimore Icon

We tied up to the Baltimore Harbor Municipal docks in the Inner Harbor, right in the thick of a very happening city.  Thousands of people, young, old and the very young in strollers paraded by us for the three days we were there.  We couldn't stop marveling at the number of folks enjoying the seven and a half mile Baltimore Waterfront Promenade with its Aquarium, Science Center, Museum of Industry and lots of tour boats. We walked  and walked and found Federal Hill, Fells Point and Little Italy.  These neighborhoods were thriving with restaurants, shops and cafes.

We did find a unique museum to explore- the American Visionary Art Museum.  These artists are self taught individuals whose works arise from an innate personal vision that revels foremost in the art itself.  They had an exhibit entitiled, "What makes you smile?" and it did work-many folks were not only smiling but out and out laughing! Great fun!  I wish we could have taken more photos but no taking pictures was allowed so I just snuck a few in--I'm probably on their videos and the museum police will be at our doorstep when we return!
I sold this stuff at our tag sale!
